DONATIONS
Nexus Coalition is primarily grant funded. However there are items that grants do not cover at all such as food, classroom treats, etc. Grant funding is also not guaranteed. One must apply and be approved each grant year. Donations are vital for filling the gaps not covered by grants as well as for ensuring sustainability of services rendered to the community in case funding falls through. The following is a list of potential items your donations could be used for.
Classroom Supplies:
Helps cover costs of books, posters, printed materials, pens, paper and other items needed to support educational services to the adults and youth in the community.
Treats/ Snacks for Classroom Presentations/ Educational Workshops:
Helps provide snack/ treat/ drink items during classroom presentations, educational workshops, and/or community events. Food not only builds rapport which is essential especially when educating youth, but youth learn best when they are not hungry. Grants do not pay for food at all
Resilience/ Wellbeing Supplies:
Helps purchase de-stress items such as stress balls, positive affirmation bookmarks, journals, and other items that encourage self-care, regulation and resiliency in our community members.
Youth Sober Fun Activities:
Helps cover costs for youth attending any pro-social activity that the Coalition offers.
Community Workshops/ Educational Classes:
Helps with costs of educational workshops for the community covering topics of trauma, resilience, self-care, life skills, current drug education, etc.
General Program Fund:
This can be used for any service, activity or supplies that the coalition is in need of.
THANK YOU for making a difference and supporting preventions efforts in our community!
